Ira Ryan and Tony Pereira already had their own names on bikes when they opened Breadwinner in Portland in 2013. The new company was the day job, custom steel for people who ride to work and also ride for fun. Everything still comes out of that Portland shop. It is a very Portland origin, and they do not pretend otherwise.
