Breezer

Joe Breeze built a mountain bike in Marin when that still sounded made up. Breezer is his name on a company, later a broader catalog, still pointing back to that county, and road bikes only showed up after the dirt story was already the reputation. People who say mountain biking started in a boardroom have not looked this up.
