Bridgestone is a Japanese tire company that also made bicycles. The American chapter people remember is Grant Petersen running the US line, then leaving to start Rivendell. Japan first, then a US office interpreting Japanese bikes in those nice catalogs. Then the bike program faded and riders still argue about those years.
