Ugo De Rosa opened a shop in Milan in 1953 and spent the next twenty years being the mechanic other teams borrowed. Eddy Merckx made it official in 1973. Cusano Milanino is still home, not some romantic downtown address, and they still make road bikes with the red hearts, with the sons running the company.
