Gunnar was the shop dog at Waterford, the greeter, and Richard Schwinn put that name on the stock-geometry steel bikes so they would cost less than a full custom. Same Wisconsin shop, same steel, fewer one-off conversations. The brand sat next to Waterford for years. That dog story is real, which is why it sounds made up.
