Jeff Steber built Intense in Temecula, which is inland Southern California, not the beach. Downhill was the point, and a lot of US DH in the nineties ran through that shop. They're still a Temecula company in the way that matters, even after the ownership chapters. People say California and picture Santa Cruz, which is the wrong county.
