Gaston Lapierre started in Dijon in 1946 making mopeds, then dropped them almost immediately for bicycles. The family ran it until Accell bought in during the 90s, which is the part French fans still get sore about, even though HQ never left Dijon. They make road and mountain and gravel bikes now, and a lot of e-bikes.
