Propain sells direct from Germany. Vogt, Allgäu, a small town people only know if they already bought one. They skipped the distributor layer on purpose, which is the origin more than any founder myth. German mountain bikes, sold straight, the kind of company that grew because the internet made a shop-in-Bavaria model possible, and they are still in that town.
