Ignaz Schwinn, the American bicycle company, then bankruptcy, then Pacific Cycle, then China, and people still say Schwinn like it is a factory on the North Side, even though that factory is gone. The name is a shop brand now, printed on bikes from the usual plants, road bikes included if the catalog says so.
