Pietro Dal Molin didn't invent Wilier. He took over an English label in Bassano del Grappa in 1906 and the patriotic acronym, W l'Italia liberata e redenta, plus Triestina, got added later when Trieste was still an argument. Rossano Veneto is HQ now. They make Italian race bikes, and the name is a slogan that stuck to a bicycle company.
