YT stands for Young Talent. Markus Flossmann started selling dirt-jump bikes direct from Germany, first under another name, and only later called it YT Industries. Write-ups pick 2006 or 2008 depending on whether they mean the marketing shop or the bikes. German, sold direct, and the garage batch was real, with the lifestyle ads arriving after the bikes already existed.
