Trail riders who want one Trek for climbs and descents. A 2006 Fuel EX is not a 2026 Fuel EX.
Trek's long-running trail 29er. Modern years are slack and long-reach; older years ride more like a trail bike of their era. Compare year-to-year before you assume the numbers match.
Newer trail riders and anyone who wants travel without a slack, low race posture.
The calmer trail sibling: more upright, more composed, less pop than the Spectral. Canyon's all-day trail-center bike.
Riders who want a fun trail bike more than a race-stage 29er.
Playful 27.5 trail bike. Poppier and more manual-friendly than Hightower, less of a straight-line 29er.
