Prague put Author on bikes after the wall came down, selling to a country that suddenly wanted western stuff, and they grew into a proper catalog brand without inventing a Bohemian cottage, road and gravel and mountain filling shops. A Czech factory company that got big by filling shops, which is a less pretty origin than the name suggests and more true.
