Monty Young was eighteen when he opened Condor on Gray's Inn Road. 1948, London, frames and wheels in the cellar. The shop moved across the street and the family never left, which is the part the heritage write-ups skip when they just say British. They still build road bikes to order, and Grant and Sebastian run it now.
