Lauf

Lauf started as a fork. Benedikt Skúlason and Guðberg Björnsson in a Reykjavík basement, leaf springs, the funny-looking thing people still argue about, and they only started making frames after the fork was already the thing anyone knew them for. Iceland is the origin, not a bike company that added a novelty fork later: they were a fork idea that grew a brand, and they're still Reykjavík.
