Chris Cocalis put Pivot in Tempe, Arizona, which is a desert city with a bike company in it, not a mountain town. He already knew how to make bikes. Pivot is the company he built after that, trail and enduro, sold like a serious American brand from a place people fly over, Tempe as the origin and the mountains somewhere else.
