Ed Scott made an aluminum ski pole in Sun Valley in 1958. The bike company is the later thing, 1986, and the Gessler family turned it into a Swiss business headquartered in Givisiez, which is why people argue about whether Scott is American or Swiss. Both, in that order, and the catalog is road and gravel and mountain.
