Richard Burke and Bevil Hogg put Trek in a rented barn in Waterloo in 1976. The surprising part is they never left. A lot of people talk about Trek like it's just a generic American brand, but HQ is still that Wisconsin town. They make basically everything now, road bikes and gravel and CX and a pile of mountain bikes, plus a TT bike.
